Hiroshima Day 5

On our last day, we didnt do anything. Our schedule was to go straight
back home. At 7:45 Charlotte and I went down to the 2nd floor for breakfast; it was a
buffet. They had 2 types of breakfast; Western and Japanese. I had a
little bit of both. It was declicious. AFter breakfast we packed up the
computers and gave it to genki san. Between 10:35~11:00 we took a
shinkansen back to shinyokohama. Nothing interesting went on that day
besides the part where we (Ms. Wilson, charlotte and I) got split with the
rest of the group since we got on the train earlier than the other people.
We got off at the next station which was Kikuna and waited for the next
train where everybody was on. We arrived at Yamate around 3:00. This trip was more fun than I had expected; especially the part where Mido
was attacked by deer and monkey. The trips to mcdonlad were also very
entertaining. We were about to have a bet on whether the guys could eat a
double quater pound hamburger and 5 cheese burgers each. we didnt end up
doing it since aaron was already full from dinner and they were sick of
hamburgeres so they decided not to. I've read about the nuclear bomb in Hiroshima 2 years ago in Japanese
class but i didnt understand it 100%. Now I understand how it happened and
what the survivors thought about it. The museums showed a lot of injured
people and it was depressing. However, the view in Hiroshima was beautiful. They had like old monuments
and it was less polluted than Tokyo. The sky was very blue and they had
really green grass. I think Miyajima was the prettiest. They had a mixture
of colours. The shrines were orange and the water was greenish blue. It
was all nature; They had deer everywhere and baboons on the top of the
hills. The maple cookies were really delicious. I especially liked the
custard one. Overall I thought Hiroshima was fun and I've learnt a lot about its
hisotry.
